The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

Right after graduating in 1979, I went on a 9 month tour of the U.S. with my brother. We had a great time and I arrived back in my hometown of Meadville, Pennsylvania, very fulfilled and quite penniless. I took a job in a tool & die shop as a source of income while I looked for work in my field of study. After several months I decided to learn as much as I could about precision metalworking with the intention of combining that knowledge with my Penn State education to start my own tool & die business. I served an apprenticeship, became a journeyman toolmaker, and in 2001 started my company, Admiral Precisioneering, where we make components for plastic injection molds, forming and blanking dies, precision machine parts, and jigs and fixtures. Also in that time, I met and married Deborah Hines and we have been blessed with a daughter, Whitney, who is an engineering student at Penn State, and a son, Ryan, now in high school. I stay active in our community, especially as a Boy Scout leader. I am grateful to God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon our family.
